Strega was a cyborg from one of the 5 Great Families.

Personality[]

Strega resembles a classical tomboy, with her style of speech stylized like that of a delinquent. She does not take kind to Amaretto's sexual remarks, and turns cold towards him when he employs them in his speech.

Strega is also not as knowledgeable about the politics behind the 5 Great Families, needing Vermouth to walk her through the idea that the Second Epsilon had only given the public "open secrets" that were unable to directly take any of them down.

Appearance[]

She has a silver short hair and wears a tight-fitting black rubber suit while in Mie. During her final mission with Vermouth and Amaretto, she wore a dark black rubber suit to blend in with the darkness, relying on with short-distance resonance gears to handle communication.

Abilities[]

As a cyborg, she is stronger than normal human. She is specialized in infiltration and is supported by her cyborg body, which grants her the ability to travel within ventilation systems along with a sonar device that can render accurate interiors of buildings it is used on. Despite her form being built for sneaking, she quite powerful, being able to immediately incapacitate a scientist during her mission of exploring the factory housing the Yatsukahagi. Vermouth cited her and Amaretto as having "bodies armed with the latest technologies", though this was unable to prevent her death at the hands of AnchoR.

She also has considerable knowledge of security protocols, citing the Yatsukahagi's storage factory's shielding being on the level of a nuclear bunker.

Character History[]

Strega, Vermouth and Amaretto was ordered by one of the companies (neither Breguet or Vacheron) to investigate a warehouse in Mie. She split off from them, sneaking around the warehouse perimeters but was frustrated by the security systems. Strega rejoined the duo shortly and informed them that it was not possible to obtain information about the inside without breaking in, and the team chose instead to subdue the security and enter directly.

After they got in, they were stunned by the gigantic automaton they had discovered. Strega was the last to recover from the shock, only fully returning to her senses after AnchoR arrived. The trio dispatched their support automaton Sambuca to hold the threat, but the action was in vain. Retreating, Strega chose to attack in order to buy her team more time to flee, only to be reduced to scrap metal when she loaded her Coil Spear.

Relationships[]

Vermouth[]

Strega reports to Vermouth of her findings quickly and succinctly. In turn, Vermouth also patiently explained to her the politics and atmosphere concerning the Kyoto Grid incident when she expressed confusion. During the failed escape from AnchoR, she also displayed a high level of cooperation with Vermouth, communicating only with a nod. Strega was also willing to attack AnchoR to buy time for the team.

On the flip side, Vermouth never considered them as friends, and did not ask about their personal beliefs or favorite objects.

Amaretto[]

It's unknown what Strega thought about Amaretto, other than being disgusted when he employed euphemisms in his speech. When fighting AnchoR however, the two were able to cooperate to a high degree, indicative of a shared level of trust. Strega was also willing to go head to head with AnchoR to ensure the possible escape for the other two.

Trivia[]

  • Given that AnchoR only destroyed automata and cyborgs that she did not recognize as human, it can be inferred that Strega was more machine than woman at the time of her death.
  • Like the other members of her team, Strega is a code-name.
